Episode CXXVIII - Get Yer Nutts Off

The Comic Book Haters return to their most unpopular segment, Classic Comic Strip Spotlight. This time, the crack review aces take a turn towards gregariousness with a look at Charles Schulz's long-running series, Peanuts. Little foul could be said about this remarkable achievement, but sometimes the overabundant praise can seem to come off as being a little unwarranted. As such, the CBH Incorporated, Inc. partnership is proud to purvey towards fandom this unabashed, honest, and 'from the hip' perspective on Charles Brown, his livestock, and their assorted consorters. Episode CXXVII - The CBH Ain't Nothing to Fuck With

Here is the latest episode of the Comic Book Haters funnybook-centric podcast. Presented for your amusement, the opinions and commentary by DJ Sloofus and Schooly G do not necessarily represent those of CBH Incorporated, Inc. In this episode, you will get: 1. A review of Spider-man: One More Day. 2. A review of a mini comic from candyormedicine.com. 3. The latest installment of 'Keep Off My Crap' by Dr. Gregski. 4. Other pieces of frivolty.
It's really a sin to ask for much more than that, so let's end this little exercise in frivolity right here and now, shall we? Just download the episode from this link if it seems like something you'd be interested in. Otherwise, go follow another link that's more to your liking. Lord knows there are plenty of other websites out there. Why not try one that features pretty women baring it all?

Haters Usurp Doomsday!

As part of Schooly G's effervescent attempt to overtake at least 51% of the internet(s), the Comic Book Haters have staked claim towards Ryan O'Hara's Doomsday Thingy forum, a move which is being described in some camps as "violent," if not downright "ballsy."
When reached for comment, G replied "What the fuck kind of question is that? And wouldn't you have pants on if you were a real reporter?" Even more puzzling is the fact that CBH mainstay Umbrellaman has yet to create an account on the aforementioned site.
When questioned on the necessity of a forum for a podcast which draws in such a selective audience, series co-host DJ Sloofus felt it generated a sense of 'community.' "Yeah, not 'community' like brotherhood and happiness," he said. "It's more like one of those reality-communities, where nobody even knows each other, and they pretty much hate everyone they do know."
For a limited time only, the CBH and its subsidiaries have formed a partnership with O'Haroptics, Inc. which will allow all listeners to sign up for the forum absolutely free of charge. A small fee will be required for activation, and standard 'time-usage' charges will accrue.

The forum can be accessed thusly.

Episode CXXVI - The Wind Between Our Cheeks

What do Harvey Kurtzman's Jungle Book and the minicomic Tales to Demolish have in common? Not much, really, but they are both being 'reviewed' on this week's episode of the Comic Book Haters. Also this week, listen in for details about how you, the listener, can obtain a FREE copy of Matthew Reilly's latest thrillscraper, The Six Stones. It's a word book, so comic fans might want to pass on it. Anyway, the publisher sent us a boxful, and instructed us to disperse them amongst our listeners, so send us an email if you want a copy. No strings attached! There really isn't much more to say about this particular episode, other than a big Thank You to everyone who has sent in comics, minicomics, and word books. We promise, we will review each and every one. These things take time! You can listen in simply by clicking this link. By the way, "Thrillscraper" and any related anagrams are copyright 2008 CBH Enterprises, Inc.

Back from the Dead

This missive arrived at CBHQ earlier today from none other than Ryan O'Hara himself...

Dear Haters,

I am not dead yet. I have been busy, but I have BIG PLANS! Which may or may not turn into BIG THINGS! But a Doomsday Thingy revival is imminent. You could call it DoomThing ReduX, though I wouldn't.

Thanks for bragging me up on your show. I like hearing things about myself on the Internet. Even that horrible rumour that I had sex with Paris Hilton was flattering, in a way. It was the public's way of saying that I was above them, and must be brought down to their disgusting level. Thanks ya'll!

Please post this on the blog so I don't have to explain all of this to the Doombots (Which is what I'm calling people foolish to pledge their allegiance to us).

- R

In other news, our crappy forum appears to have shit the bed once again.

Episode CXXV - New Years and Old Tears

With a new year now upon us, let us rejoice in all that did not go wrong in the morbidly remembered 2007. Schooly, though his heart might disagree, found no comics to love throughout that year. One simply cannot fathom the paradoxical implications which could result from such an action. Neither, last year, did Umbrellaman refuse any Yuengling offered to him. Lest ye think that not a mighty task, be forewarned: Umbrellaman was offered A Lot of Yuengling last year. Had he passed on even one bottle of the robust acquired taste of the lager, the actual multiplex might have come crashing down. As for DJ Sloofus, well, the less said, the better. Click here to enjoy their latest reviews, along with a special guest-segment by none other than Doctor Gregski of the Comic Book Haters forum. See what you're missing out on?
