Video Commercial #2: Skip if Necessary

In an overbloated attempt to "rustle up" some pre-publicity for their upcoming video-episode debut, the Comic Book Haters have unleashed a virtual landslide of promotional materials. In addition to the various bumper-stickers, handbills, and curley-queues which are permeating the Atlantic City area, a brand-new video commercial has also been created. Though the actual debut of the full-length video episode is still a week away (debuting on July Fourth, giving that once noble holiday yet another reason to be celebrated), a special promo video will be aired today. This commercial is provided on a limited-time basis, as a nuclear holocaust, Asian-borne epidemic, or collapsed financial economy is bound to render all of this silliness obsolete. Click here to download the commercial! Please note: the file is designed to play in iTunes, or on any video ipod. It also works in a bunch of other shit.

Episode CXL- All We Are Is Shit In The Wind

I close my eyes, only for a moment; and the moment's gone.

Jesus, I knew I put it somewhere. Fuck! Where is it?

All my dreams- pass before my eyes with curiosity.

What the fuck was that? No, not that. That was fuckin' weird...

Same old song: Just a drop of water in an endless sea.

Yeah, I'm always losing this shit. C'mon Schooly, keep it together.

All we do crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see.

Fuck! I ruined it again. I've got to start over.

Nothing lasts forever but the Earth and sky.

Shit, there it is! Click here to download this episode.

By the way, we review Kick-Ass and Daybreak in this episode.

Voicey Talents Needed!

Do you have a voice? Have you been using it on a regular basis? Can you read? Do you know how to send an email? Do you have a little time to kill? If you answered "yes" to even one of these questions, the Comic Book Haters have need of you! Currently in production is the CBH's next "pod-play," or audio-entertainment file! Those who thrilled to such previous endeavors as the Behind the Hatred special and the CBH Christmas Carol (google them) had but one overwhelming piece of feedback: How can I get in on the action?
Now, you can. If you'd like to do some voicework for the next installment of the CBH Ficto-play series, simply email thecomicbookhaters@yahoo.com with a sample of your talents. We recommend Audacity for recording, with the MP3 plugin for easy distribution. Simply record yourself saying the following line and send it along in an email. Note: several "readings" of the same line in one file is fine.
"Well, if they're not dead, they're doing a hell of a job faking it."
It's easy; it's fun, and no one even needs to know you did it. A full script of the upcoming venture will be provided to the chosen few, with each cast member's part individually highlighted. Be part of extraneous history!

Impending Video Episode Still Impending

INTERNET, Atlantic City - According to insiders at the Comic Book Haters audio podcast, the Comic Book Haters video podcast is "still right on track." The debut episode (of a proposed three part series) is set to air on local Atlantic City internet the weekend of July 4th, 2008. "It's pretty much done," says series co-host DJ Sloofus. "I mean, we kind of figured out what we're going to do. I think."
The show's resident crankmeister, Schooly G, was less optimistic: "I don't give a fuck about all this. Just go ask Sloofus." Perennial cut-up David Umbrellaman was not sought out for comment. "They didn't even bother to ask me what I thought," he was later overheard mumbling.
Although the podcast has utilized the video medium in the past, this forthcoming visual triptych embarks upon an entirely new era. "We thought the time had come," reveals Sloofus. "Plus, we got a video camera recently, and didn't really use it for much."
"I can vouch for the video camera part," confirmed G. "But as for everything else, who are you?" At this point in the interview, the proprietors politely declined our patronage, and the participants parted ways. Those interested in seeing the video episodes, which will feature only independent titles, can visit thecomicbookhaters.blogspot.com on July 4th. Anyone wishing to submit titles for future installments may send an electronic missive to thecomicbookhaters@yahoo.com.
