I can't believe we finally got a new episode up, Schooly. But then again, I don't believe in Holocaust deniers, either.

Right... So what Schooly is trying to say is that he understands Ethnic to mean "not white". His interpretaion is sort of the Hollywood in the 1950s era of thinking. You know, back when Anthony Quinn could play an Arab or a Mexican because, you know, they are both "ethnic" parts.

Listen here, you overly politically-correct piece of shit, if you're offended by the phrase "ethnic food," you should just eat the barrel of a shotgun.

What the fuck are you doing listening to this podcast? If you're that sensitive, there's probably a podcast about the care and cleaning of your vagina. Go listen to that one instead.

Anonymous, I don't think that's the point Schooly was trying to make. In fact, I thought that's where he was headed, but he surprised us all with a different take. Listen to the episode a little closer and maybe you'll seew what I mean.

Schooly- It is actually nothing to do with political correctness. I just think it is funny that you are stuck on this very old fashioned definition of the word "ethnic" and therefore would be surprised that putting all the imported British food together in the "Ethnic" section would be at all strange. Is British not an Ethnic group with its own cuisine?

Let me know if you find the vagina cleaning podcast and I'll send a link if there are any good dictionary podcasts to be found.

And- hey- just because I call bullshit on Schooly when he says something stupid (all the while puffing himself up about how smart he is with his big boy books) doesn't mean I don't enjoy the podcast. Keep up the good work!

"British" is a nationality, not an ethnicity, dumbass. Maybe if you read more "big boy books," you'd have figure that out.

PS- sorry for being smarter than you. Here, I'll say something you can understand: Man, that penciller on the New Universals sure did kick ass! And the inking was wicked awesome!

British food sucks. It's really bad. They take parts of the animal that most civilized people chuck in the woods and bake it in a pie. I was in London for a week and hated the food.

You sure the sauce wasn't just ketchup? That's what they called it in Australia. They called it sauce.

On another note, I agree with Schooly. He wasn't being racist. British is not an ethic group.

Also, Anthony Quinn could play an Arab, a Mexican, or even a blind Chinaman with bad posture. It's called acting.

I agree that British food sucks.

However, British can be considered an ethnic group. There are other ethnic groups within British Society (ie Indians who have lived in the UK since the Raj) but that doesn't mean that British cannot be considered an ethnic group with its own cultural, history and cuisine (thus having a shelf of its own ethnic food in the grocery store). But don't take my word for it, go look it up. Unless you are too busy reading your big boy books such as... you know, Schooly, we still are waiting for a list of your recommended Big Boy Reads.

In the meantime, I agree that the art on New Universal was pretty good. I guess we can rely on you to have read that.

And I agree that Anthony Quinn playing a Mexican or an Arab can be called acting. But at a time when he would be employed to play these parts because he was Mexican and "ethnic is ethnic" so he may as well play an Arab, a Greek or a Hun.

It is a bit like employing white men in black face to play black people in a minstrel show. Since people wanted to laugh at funny black characters without employing blacks. But, I guess, acting is acting.

I feel the same way about retards. I think in a few years, we'll look back at performances like Sean Penn in "What About Sam" and that black guy in "Radio" with the same embarassment we now look back at blackface actors with.

Well, I already look at those movies and feel embarrassed for a variety of reasons.

But it's not like you can get retarded folks to act in movies. With their superhuman strength, they are a liability to the scenery and cast.
