Outside the Comic Book Haters' Studio #5: Sam Henderson

Before the Comic Book Haters embark on their three week tour of the Eastwestern Seaboard, they took a few moments to sit down with alternative comics superstar Sam Henderson. Best known for creating the indie sensation "Magic Whistle," Henderson has also written extensively for Spongebob Squarepants, and has been featured regularly in Nickelodeon Magazine and various weekly newspapers. In this conversation, the Haters discuss a number of things, eagerly trying to keep Henderson's attention from wandering. Listen in to see how successful they were.

Good interview!

I don't think Sam's attention was wandering, he just seems a bit quiet.

Well, it's about time someone asked Sam Henderson his views on Marvel's Civil War comics!

I'm sure I speak for a lot of listeners when I say was alarmed to hear the Sloofus bought a shirt with a naked hippy on it. I can only imagine that the shirt featured naked hippy genitalia. Who willing walks around with a naked hippy's junk on their shirt?

Worse, I'm sure the naked hippy looked a lot like Warren Ellis. How could you even draw a cartoon hippy without it looking like Warren Ellis? So basically, Sloofus walks around with a naked Warren Ellis on his chest. Man, that sucks.

Yes, the shirt features genitalia on it. To be fair, it just kind of looks like a little doodle (no pun intended).

And now that you mention it, it does look a lot like Warren Ellis. I never thought of that before.

Anonymous, why don't you do what I do when seeking knowledge about a person, place or thing? Go to Wikipedia. It's a site that is a like a big old online encyclopedia that everyone (and I mean everyone) can edit. It's really awesome!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Henderson

You better go there quickly before some hole of an ass deletes it. Sometimes they do that.

Super Fan Rick,
Unfortunately, not that I know about. I was just hoping the Comic Book Haters would do one after reading WookieLover's post...

Davey and Goliath ROCKED! But "Jot" was swell too.

I would love to talk to Goliath, but fuck Davey. He always seemed like a big pussy. Goliath rocked, though. Man that was a fucked up show.

My entire moral code is based solely on life lessons learned on Davey and Goliath. That and Land of the Lost. Just the other day I was cramming a sharpened telephone pole in a tyrannosaurs rex's mouth when he tried to stick his goddamn head in my cave.

I stopped trusting Chaka after he talked Holly into going all the way.
