As the midsummer heat continues to bare down upon our welcoming sweat glands, most of us can't help but think about our sweatier cousins to the south, los Mexicanos. I think Schooly should post the list of the last 10 books he has read, so we can all marvel at what a grown-up big boy he is. I think the last book report we had was, what was it, the Stephen King cell-phone-zombies book, right? What other highbrow literary ventures should we look forward to when we grow up?
Damn. Speaking of "Not worth my time"- I want the five minutes back that I spent listening to everyone try to get Schooly to read that fucking book. Don't you know it would cut into his museum-going time?

Well, if you're spending most of your time reading funnybooks, listening to our shitty podcast, and responding on our blog, I doubt you'll have much time left for your Star Trek marathons, Cosplay conventions, or Dr. Who reunion specials let alone reading big-boy books.
But I'll give you a leg up on your funnybook brethren:

I think Schooly just hit on an "emperor has no clothes" nerve. Hate is one of those nerd one-ups-manship titles that nerds throw around at each other despite the fact that it really is boring. This is common to comic nerds and music nerds- but with music it's bands like Blur and Belle and Sebastian. No one listen to that shit because they think it's good. Someone told them it was cool and no one wants to be left out and thought to be uncool. Pitiful.
I'm no Schooly fan, but at least he's not one of the drones.

For literature, so far Schooly has named something out of the 8th grade lesson plan, one off of the 9th grade summer reading list and a movie he saw once. Are you still doing that thing where you get a certificate for a free individual Pizza Hut pizza for every book you finish? Or is this all SAT prep?

Just finished listening to a few of your podcasts but i felt i had to comment on this one.
I wont be subscribing to your podcast anytime soon but no hard feelings, i just dont like hate. Maybe its the optomist in me that feels that way but i felt what you guys said about mexicans was ignorant and racist even if it was in jest. Im not going to insult you or try to convince you that you are wrong. Let people belive what they belive, even if they are wrong.
Im sure you have found a nitch in the podcasting world and good luck with that but i wont be there.
