Episode CLI - Misdemeanors of Passion

Back on track, and back on the Crap! That's a clever little way to describe the latest episode of the Comic Book Haters podcast! In fact, it's so exciting, only an exclamation point at the end of every sentence can even come close to doing it justice! Perhaps one sentence with the customary period is to be expected, however. While the podcast is downloading, grab an ice-cold brewski, partner! You're gonna need it, because an old friend is back, starting this episode! No, don't even ask; it's not Cappy! Forum member Greg G returns with a look at some crazy comix, reviewed From the Crapper! It's Hawkalicious, baby!

It never ceases to amaze me that people actually expect quality of any level from this show.

I could write a very angry letter right now about The Comic Book Haters, but I decided instead merely to express some constructive criticism. To begin with, if it weren't for baleful sinful-types, The Comic Book Haters would have no friends. Let me go on record as saying that if The Comic Book Haters were as bright as they think they are, they'd know that that fact is simply inescapable to any thinking man or woman. "Thinking" is the key word in the previous sentence. Everybody knows that The Comic Book Haters are a bear of very little brain, and long words bother it, but you should consider that if this letter did nothing else but serve as a beacon of truth, it would be worthy of reading by all right-thinking people. However, this letter's role is much greater than just to get people to sign a petition to limit The Comic Book Haters's ability to cause trouble.

The Comic Book Haters's method (or school, or ideology -- it is hard to know exactly what to call it) goes by the name of "The Comic Book Haters-ism". It is an insidious and avowedly egocentric philosophy that aims to manipulate the unseen mechanisms of society so as to wipe out delicate ecosystems. Just because I understand The Comic Book Haters's shenanigans doesn't mean I agree with them. Okay, there's no reason for me to be bilious, so I'll leave you with this concept: The Comic Book Haters invent problems in order to provide itself with an excuse for making a fuss.

Now, look here, son. I don't abide by any of yer so-called wiping-out of "delicate ecosystems", but I like what you say. I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Is that a letter of praise or condemnation? Either way, thanks for listening!

And what problems did they invent? The suckage of comics?

Before DJ Sloofus starts ripping tendons and ligaments with his typical knee-jerk reaction to my comments, he should realize that he is like a parrot that makes noises for attention without any kind of clue as to what it is saying. But first, I'm going to jump ahead a bit and talk in general terms about how he's a stupid person's idea of a clever person. We've tolerated Sloofus's drossy insults long enough. It's time to lose our patience and chill our kindness. It's time to force DJ Sloofus into early retirement. It's time to shout to the world that in the Old Testament, the Book of Kings relates how the priests of Baal were slain for deceiving the people. I'm not suggesting that there be any contemporary parallel involving Sloofus, but he is a total fan boy loser. This comment has gone on far too long in my opinion and probably yours as well. So let me end it by saying merely that there's no point in arguing with DJ Sloofus. Let us just say that he is a blight on the world of comics and should be treated as such.
