Larry Hama Refeed

It seems that iTunes is having problems receiving our latest Outside the Comic Book Haters interview, featuring G.I. Joe creator Larry Hama. We blame COBRA, or at least Tomax. (Xamot has an air-tight alibi). For the benefit of our apple-loving fans, we have graciously decided to re-send the file. Apologies are extended to all who have already received the file through other outlets, including the infamous New York bootleg podcast scene. Click here to enlist, or to re-up for another round of Joe-fueled madness.

Outside the Comic Book Haters' Studio #6: Larry Hama

Brace yourself for a very special episode of Outside the Comic Book Haters' Studio. For almost a year now, resident crankhole Schoolworth G. Fuddleway has bemoaned and besotted the noble art of the funnybook. Gaze on in wondermint as he turns coat and sprints in the opposite direction, fully embracing the medium for a change. What could be the cause of this inherent contradiction? None other than Larry Hama himself, omnipotent originator of the G.I. Joe universe. Observe a gushering shower of praise as it eminates from Schooly's mouth to your ears. G.I. Joe, Cobra, Bernie Krigstein, and several comics Mr. Hama had nothing to do with are all discussed. Grab your walking papers here, Joe, and move 'em out.

Episode LXVII - The Wrath of Umbrellaman

SEE! Umbrellaman question Schooly's manhood! HEAR! Schooly G's startling revelation about his childhood! WITNESS! Sloofus' emotional breakdown of epic proportions! LAMENT! The fact that none of this actually happens this episode! This episode is so shocking, our ordinary viewers are requested to forego it in favor of the latest "Josh in Japan." Response to the Comic Book Haters' "Heroes" commentary was so overwhelming, the lads were forced to take a few steps back. Success has ruined many a partnership, and the CBH crew are only human afterall, aren't they? Standing on the precipice of immortality, the Umbrellaman offers an ultimatum to the rest of the crew: "Double (or almost double) your numbers, or I walk."

Commentary By Haters #1: NBC's HEROES

The Comic Book Haters podcast embarks in a bold new direction with this special bonus episode, their first "Video Commentary." Simply play this audio file as you watch NBC's upcoming superhero drama "Heroes." The show will premiere on NBC next Monday at 9 p.m., and will be available for dowload from iTunes shortly afterwards.
Report to iTunes to legally obtain a copy of the program, and then sit back and wait for the fun to start. For maximum enjoyment, load this episode of CBH in another audio program (such as Windows Media Player). When DJ Sloofus starts the countdown, get ready to play the video in iTunes. Then simply sit back and enjoy the show. It's the next best thing to watching it with real friends, and possibly better if they're anything like these two oafs. Please note: this may not actually be worth the effort. They were drinking during the recording, after all.

Join the CBH crew as they review the Escapists by Brian K. Vaughan and some other guy that draws a lot like Rick Geary. Click here to listen in, or click anywhere else on this page to listen to something else instead. For God's sake, man, just click something!

Episode LXV - Girls Gone Literate

This time around, the famed Comic Book Haters take a look at Alan Moore's latest work, "Lost Girls." It's ten times more erotic than Halo Jones, and slightly more insipid than Skizz. Did they love it? Did they hate it? Were they aroused, amused or disgusted? In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter what they thought? There's only one way to find out... by clicking on this link. Also this episode, a special report on last weekend's Baltimore Comic-Con by none other than Super-Fan Rick. Face Front, Pilgrims!

Haters Episode Delayed; Warren Ellis Suspected

INTERNET, Atlantic City: The impeccably punctual Comic Book Haters' podcast experienced brief delays earlier today, causing thousands of fans to email the head offices. DJ Sloofus, spokesman for the group, cited the delay as a result of hangovers, leftover chinese food, and a stack of 1970s Marvel horror reprints purchased from eBay.
"Yeah, we were a little busy today, but the show will be up within the next day or so," said the haggard looking cohost. "As an incentive to stay tuned, I can promise you that Cappy isn't on this episode," he added. Stay tuned to CBH central for up-to-the-minute developments.

Episode LXIV - Super Fun Hatred Excitement Hour: The Sequel

The Comic Book Haters' podcast crew returns to the fabled land of Japan for an evening of manga, cup noodles, and self-enlightenment. Join DJ Sloofus, Schooly G, andUmbrella-san as they venture, once again, into the magical world of Japanese comics. Popularly referred to as "manga," though no one popular has ever actually discussed them, this Asian sensation is causing quite a stir in our own world of commercialism and lost morals. This go round, the boys look at Osamu Tezuka's "Buddha," as well as a manga about the guys (and gals) who created Ramen Noodles. Click here to embark upon your journey to the far East.
